A new neighbourhood restaurant and bar called The Hive has just opened in Stretford Mall.

Part of the next stage of the area’s regeneration project, it is the latest addition to Stretford Mall’s growing roster of independent food and drink operators.

Behind the menu is Sid Talha, a Parisian chef with over 25 years’ experience
under his belt, nine of which he spent working under Michelin-starred TV chef Raymond Blanc.

Drawing on his time spent working at Manchester restaurant Le Petit Blanc and at Le Manoir in Oxford, there is a focus on quality and accessibility with some dishes taking inspiration from his own Parisian heritage.

Expect fresh bread baked daily on-site alongside homemade biscuits and cakes, and a menu full of crowd-pleasers to take you and the family from noon to night.

A hearty breakfast menu focuses on high-quality ingredients for fry ups, breakfast sandwiches and pancakes, whilst lunchtime fare focuses on sandwiches and burgers, home-made falafels, arancini and hummus.

Come evening, there’s a full three-course menu option available as well as a bar menu for drinkers to pick at if they want something a bit lighter.

The new neighbourhood restaurant and bar is brought to Stretford by long-time
business partners and entrepreneurs Chris Herbert and Jamie Hoare.

The pair already own a successful table football business and have teamed up with local bar operator Andy Seale of the nearby Gorse Hill Pub to bring the new offering to Stretford Mall.

It joins a growing community of independent businesses in Stretford such as Stretford Food Hall, Head Bar and The Longford Tap.

Find The Hive at Unit 124, 125 Chester Rd, Stretford Mall, Stretford, M32 9BH.
