Sea Life mermaids

Magical mermaids will be swimming into the waters of Manchester’s Sea Life centre as part of a new programme of limited edition evening events at the family attraction.

The mesmerising mermaids will swim gracefully amongst the sea creatures, performing an enchanting routine and interact with onlooking guests at the Barton Square aquarium.

The after-hours event will run from 4pm every Friday now until 16th October, with last admission at 6pm this Friday and 7pm on the following three Fridays.

Sea Life Mermaids

Stuart Jarman, General Manager at Merlin Entertainments Manchester, said the response since the reopening of both Sea Life Manchester and the adjacent Legoland Discovery Centre at the intu Trafford Centre has been “incredible”.

The company has introduced all the necessary COVID-19 safety measures to protect visitors and staff including enhanced cleaning, pre-booked time slots and temperature checks on entry.

Stuart said: “As we continue to safely and responsibly welcome guests back to Sea Life Manchester, we’re delighted to launch a programme of extra special events that promise to inspire, excite and educate guests of all ages on the wonders of ocean life.

“Our real-life mermaids are incredible and a real visual experience. They’re loved by our creatures, who love to engage with them, as much as our visitors.”

Mermaids is the first in a series of exclusive, limited-edition events from Sea Life Manchester.
