A Manchester pizza restaurant is one of the very best in Europe according to a new poll.

Rudy’s Neopolitan Pizza, which started in Ancoats and has a second branch on Peter Street, has become renowned in Manchester for its mouth-watering sourdough creations. Now it’s getting international attention too.

Global travel platform Big 7 has hailed Rudy’s the THIRD best pizza restaurant in Europe in a list of the top 50.

It is only beaten on the list by the acclaimed Bæst in Denmark and, topping the poll of course, an Italian great – L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele in Naples.

Big 7 compiled the new list of the top 50 best pizza restaurants across Europe through a combination of a judges’ panel, reader votes and high rating media and online reviews.

Rudy's Pizza

In the guide, Big 7 say: “Many regard Rudy’s Pizza as the best pizza in England: talk to serious pizza connoisseurs and they’ll tell you it’s as good as anything you’ll ever taste.  They’ve moved onto their second premises in Manchester on Peter Street and also expanded to Liverpool. None of the quality is lost as they grow, which is a real testimony to their excellence.”

Rudy’s is by far the highest ranking pizza restaurant in the UK on the list, and one of just three from England who make the grade. The other two are both London-based – Pizza Pilgrims and Made of Dough in the capital.
