He posted the news with the caption: “New football team in the South Manchester area.

“Trials to be announced soon. JLINGZ FC HEART OF THE COMMUNITY.”

The announcement has sparked interest among football enthusiasts, as the team’s name itself is a nod to Lingard’s popular nickname.

The Heart of the Community

JLingz FC promises to bring together passionate players and dedicated fans to create a team at ‘The Heart of the Community’.

Lingard’s decision to launch his own team comes after his departure from Nottingham Forest earlier this summer.

As the talented midfielder continues to explore new opportunities to further his playing career, he has engaged in training sessions with Inter Miami and his former United teammate Ravel Morrison recently.

However, he is currently without a club.

Lingard to Wayne Rooney’s DC United

Rumours have swirled about potential moves, with Lingard being linked to Wayne Rooney‘s DC United, but the elusive transfer has not come to fruition as of yet.

Nevertheless, the seasoned footballer remains optimistic about the future and is determined to find the perfect fit to continue his journey on the field.

JLINGZ FC Trials

While hosting trials for JLingz FC, he will also be actively seeking opportunities to settle his own future.

Former Manchester United academy graduate, Jesse Lingard, rose through the ranks at Old Trafford, leaving an indelible mark by scoring a crucial goal in the 2016 FA Cup final victory against Crystal Palace.

Despite early promise, Lingard’s career at Manchester United eventually lost its spark, leading him to seek opportunities elsewhere.

He found a new lease of life during a loan spell at West Ham United in 2021, where he impressed so much that he earned a recall to the England national team.

Lingard’s subsequent move to Nottingham Forest saw him playing a pivotal role off the field as Steve Cooper’s team successfully secured their place in the Premier League for the following season. However, his time on the pitch was limited, with only 12 starts in the top flight.

Consequently, the club made the decision not to extend his contract for another year.

Despite the challenges faced at Forest, Lingard remains determined to make a significant impact in the footballing world.

As he embarks on the exciting venture of starting his own football team, JLingz FC, in South Manchester, the talented midfielder will be eager to showcase his abilities on the field while simultaneously building a strong footballing community that embodies his passion and commitment to the sport.
