It’s been four super-sweet-pancake-waffle-fried-chicken-cake-shake filled years, but sadly Home Sweet Home Great Northern will be closing at the end of this year.

The Great Northern complex is being redeveloped into an ‘urban oasis’, and the Home Sweet Home space is needed as an entrance to the warehouse apartments, say owners.

Staff have been told, and all will have jobs in other areas of the business from 1st January.

Home Sweet NQ will remain open.

The Great Northern branch will close the doors for good on New Year’s Eve, and they’re hoping customers will come down and say goodbye and enjoy one last club Cali burrito, one last chicken in a basket, pulled pork pile up, out n out burger or five dollar shake.

“With a cinnamon swirl latte in hand and a heavy heart, we regretfully announce that Home Sweet Home, Great Northern will close for good at the end of this year,” say the team.

“Thank you all for your support and love over the years, this place has been our club house and home away from home, it’s been the sweetest of times.

“While we could have looked to relocate to another space, Beautiful Drinks is focused on the development and roll out of the Almost Famous brand.”

To celebrate the good times, to say thank you and to go out with a bang, Home Sweet Home Great Northern is offering 50% off all food Monday-Thursday for the entire month of December.

The offer includes 50% off all of their wonderful Christmas specials.

To claim this discount, quote ‘bye bye Home Sweet’ when booking or at the restaurant.

Bye bye, Home Sweet Home Great Northern. You’ve been there for all our breakfast, lunch and dinner dreams. We will miss you.
