It’s Veganuary, the global call to action for people to discover the benefits of a diet avoiding all animal foods, dairy, and eggs.

But just how easy is it to go vegan and dine out and still enjoy what’s on offer? Actually, it’s simpler than you’d think. We’ve explored the vegan menus on offer at some of Corn Exchange’s 13 restaurants to find something to tempt your taste buds.

So could you be convinced to give it a go? With a host of your favourite restaurants serving up tasty vegan treats, we think you’ll be tempted.

Banyan Bar and Kitchen

Going vegan can be rewarding with great health benefits, and no one knows that better then Banyan Bar and Kitchen. Offering a specially designed three-course vegan menu including the Revitalise Salad with butternut squash, quinoa and roasted vegetables, the fragrant Indonesian vegan fried rice with pak choi, edamame, rice chilli and coriander, plus a delectable peach and prosecco sorbet, you’ll be in vegan heaven this month.

Mowgli

Experience a true taste of India at Mowgli with a choice of 14 vegan dishes as well the vegan tiffin box, which involves the chef preparing four suitable dishes for you at random. Choose from exciting dishes such as the ‘flavour grenade’ that is the Bombay Chip Butty and the Mowgli founder’s favourite, Calcutta Tangled Greens. With this much choice, it’s easy to keep to the diet at Mowgli.

Pho

Over to Vietnam with Pho, with a menu that can be tailored for vegans with one simple request, enjoy a host of nutritious meals including Goi Cuon – veggie summer rolls – and Bun nam rom Hue – a hot and spicy soup originating from Imperial City, Hue.

Cosy Club

Cosy Club ensures that there’s something for everyone with its vegan menu, which includes tasty brunch, lunch and diner options such as Avocado Brunch, a spicy Thai Burger plus three scrumptious tapas treats.

Gino D’Acampo, My Restaurant

If you thought Italian is out of the question on a vegan diet, think again. At Gino D’Acampo, My Restaurant you can enjoy green bean, spinach and artichoke salad with saffron dressing. Buon appetito!

Vapiano

Vapiano has a range of dishes with vegans firmly at the forefront with plates of delicious pasta including the Funghi Bolognese and the tasty Con Cipolle Balsamico pizza, made with fruity balsamic shallots, zucchini, eggplant, fresh basil and rosemary.

Wahaca

Try the Plantain Tacos – sweet crispy plantain, frijoles and hot chipotle adobo. Sweet and savoury, like dinner and dessert in one dish.

Tampopo

Vegan options are clearly marked on the menu and include classic noodle dishes like pad thai, yaki udon as well as curries and soups. Try the Vietnamese banana fritters (pictured) for dessert.
