French Connection Manchester welcomed loyal shoppers and those with a curious eye for the new season must haves to its Spring/Summer Party on Thursday evening. The event was set to get hearts racing and shopaholics hot under the collar- shopper’s heaven.

The bad weather certainly did not deter attention from the free champagne bar and the excitable yet “chilled” atmosphere. The rain might have been pouring but the drinks were certainly still flowing.

Customers were free to browse at their leisure before being ushered upstairs for the much anticipated fashion show at 7pm where avid French Connection fans were eager to experience that front row buzz. They were not to be disappointed. The catwalk was laced with beauty and elegance from the girls and masculine ambiance with a hint of cheekiness from the boys, courtesy of Cliché Models. They showcased the SS14 collection with the help of FC’s very own DJ Jason Caddy who brought the venue alive with a range of house music classics.

The bright lights of the runway complimented the beautiful feminine lines of the season, as well as drawing attention to the bold colour clashing statement pieces bringing summer alive- if a little prematurely. French Connection did not fail to provide traditional staple shapes, vintage style dropped hemlines, yet still staying loyal to their iconic embellished designs with some new heavily embroidered pieces thrown in for good measure.

The men’s range certainly didn’t disappoint either- showcasing wow floral prints and garish chinos. Well known casuals still contributed to the seasons range but the Khaki and Camo designs added some depth to the already popular menswear must haves.

All in all a fantastic evening- rounded off with a cute goody bag for all guest list customers as they left the event in high spirits. Huge congratulations to Amy who won a £500 gift voucher on the night after tweeting a selfie from the event- showcasing her style in one of this seasons looks.
