Home to some of the city’s favourite venues including The Gasworks Brewbar, Bunny Jackson’s, Junkyard Golf, PizzaExpress, Indian Tiffin Room and The Laundrette, First Street Manchester has become the top spot to watch all the Wimbledon action in recent years.

For the third year running the First Street estate has just announced that they will be screening Wimbledon 2018 live, starting on 2nd July and running right through to the finals on 15th July.

For this year’s tournament the First Street team is pulling out all the stops to ensure the whole family is entertained, with giant Jenga, table tennis and other fun games soon to be scattered across the estate.

Their giant screen will once again be positioned at Tony Wilson Place in the heart of First Street: perfect for fans to pull up a deckchair, grab a Pimm’s and catch all the tennis action.

Healthy take-out food will be on offer from Kettlebell Kitchen, and arts hub HOME will be open for drinks, food, and of course will be showing a full summer programme of films across its cinemas and theatre.

The south-facing Ginnside Terrace bar at INNSIDE Manchester is always a popular spot to watch the screen in the sunshine and enjoy one of the hundreds of gins, wines and beers on offer.

MasterChef winner Simon Wood will also be serving up a mouthwatering array of summer dishes at his AA Rosette fine dining restaurant Wood.

First Street is just five minutes from Manchester Oxford train station, and directly opposite Castlefield/Deansgate Metro link station. Or for people who prefer to drive, there is a 700 space QPark, which boasts some of the best-priced parking in town.

Whether you’re just nipping out from work and fancy catching a snippet of the action, or whether you and the family are planning a full weekend of fun, First Street promises to offer the best front row seats in the city.
