Manchester’s own Elbow are set to bring their soaring sounds back to the city next summer, announcing a highly anticipated show at Castlefield Bowl on July 2nd, 2025.

This follows the band’s triumphant performance at the grand opening of the Co-Op Live arena, where they celebrated their latest album, Audio Vertigo, which has already soared to the top of the UK charts.

Elbow at Castlefield Bowl

Elbow’s Castlefield Bowl performance will be a highlight of their 2025 summer tour, which includes a selection of unique and atmospheric venues across the UK, from Hampton Court Palace to Tynemouth Priory and Castle.

Frontman Guy Garvey expressed his excitement about returning to some of the band’s favourite venues.

He said: “We are returning to venues we’ve really loved for summer ‘25 and also visiting some towns and cities that we haven’t been to for a while. There’s nothing like settling in for the evening with old friends.”

Audio Vertigo

Elbow’s latest album, Audio Vertigo, released in March 2024, marked a milestone in the band’s career, debuting at Number One and earning widespread acclaim.

Critics praised the album’s depth and maturity, with The Arts Desk calling it “a triumph that deepens with every listen” and MOJO hailing it as “suitably landmark.” NME declared it to be “their best record in years.”

The Manchester show will feature local support from The Slow Readers Club, known for their electrifying live performances.

This homecoming gig promises to be an unforgettable night, with Elbow set to deliver their signature mix of sweeping anthems and intimate, heartfelt tunes in front of a devoted hometown crowd.

In addition to Manchester, the band’s summer run includes dates at Cardiff Castle, Westonbirt Arboretum, and York Museum Gardens, with other special guests like The Coral, Billie Marten, and Eliza Carthy & The Restitution joining the lineup.

The tour will conclude with a headline festival appearance at Tynemouth Priory and Castle on July 12th.
