The tour marks the band’s first arena tour since 2018, promising a memorable celebration of their illustrious career.
Lead singer Guy Garvey shared his excitement, saying, “We love the intimacy of theatres, but we have some very big songs, and the electricity of 20,000 people singing along cannot be denied.
“So, it’s the big rooms for us, and they will be epic shows. Can’t wait to see everybody again.”
Elbow return to Manchester
The tour will see Elbow revisiting the scenes of some of their most unforgettable performances, including a groundbreaking night in Manchester.
They’ll be among the first artists to grace the stage at the new Co-op Live, the UK’s largest indoor concert space, adding another landmark hometown moment to their storied career.
The Co-Op Live
Elbow’s history includes iconic performances at venues like the Roadhouse, The Night And Day Café, the Manchester O2 Apollo, the AO Arena, Castlefield Bowl, and the Bridgewater Hall with the Hallé orchestra.
In contrast, their return to London’s The O2 will mark their fifth show at this iconic venue, following a sold-out 2018 performance.
Elbow will also be making triumphant returns to Brighton, Nottingham, Leeds, and Glasgow’s OVO Hydro.
Elbow’s New Album
The release of their tenth studio album in March 2024 solidifies Elbow’s position as one of the UK’s most beloved and influential bands.
Their reputation for crafting timeless music and their significant impact on contemporary British music is unquestionable. With accolades including a BRIT Award, a Mercury Prize, and multiple Ivor Novello songwriting awards, Elbow’s journey reached its pinnacle when they were granted the freedom of their hometown, Bury, after performing at the 2012 London Olympics closing ceremony.
The band’s latest album was a collaborative effort, with writing and recording taking place in their individual studios in Manchester and London.
Blueprint Studios, Salford
The project culminated with a period together in the Cotswolds, and production and mixing were finalised at Blueprint Studios in Salford, their spiritual home.
