Manchester Airport was delighted to welcome the first passengers to the new Terminal 2 extension today.

With the latest innovations in travel technology and state-of-the art facilities, holiday makers can expect to receive ‘a world class experience’ as you travel through the new-look airport.

There’s now a bright a modern check-in hall, spacious security hall with the latest technology and an eye-catching departure lounge with an exciting variety of shops, bars and restaurants. There’s also a new arrivals experience, providing a warm welcome back to Manchester.

“We love Manchester and believe in the importance of supporting northern businesses,” says a spokesperson at Manchester Airport. “That’s why we wanted to showcase some of the best born and bred northern [food and beverage] brands in our new Terminal 2.”

Archies

Archies, a dazzling bright pink restaurant with bold burgers, slamming shakes and off-the-wall waffles, is now open.

Amber Alehouse

Seven Bro7hers’ Amber Alehouse is a tribute to being different and non-conformant. From microbrews to comfort recipes, there’s something for every rebel. A traditional Mancunian pub nestled in the new T2, with “dead good food” and “dead good beer”. They even brew the beer onsite.

Pot Kettle Black

Pot Kettle Black (PKB) is an independent coffee shop and bakehouse dedicated to the art of brewing the best coffee and cooking-up vibrant food opening soon.

San Carlo

Opening soon, San Carlo is a chic and traditional much loved Italian restaurant, offering all day Italian favourites and cicchetti.
