A new immersive drive-in festive extravaganza is coming to Manchester’s EventCity this Christmas.

Hot on the heels of the sell-out spooky Halloween film phenomenon, ScareCity, comes ChristmasCity, with festive films, live entertainment, and a chance for the little ones to see Father Christmas.

The event will deliver a huge selection of festive classic outdoor cinema screenings safely to guests in their own cars – but this is no ordinary drive-in cinema.

Each ticket also provides visitors with the chance to journey through the immersive trail filled with surprises, live actors and festive characters.

Packed with Christmas surprises throughout, cars will be guided through the mailroom tunnel before they enter the ‘snow valley’, which sees Santa’s workshop complete with cheeky elves ready to cause trouble.

Then it’s all aboard for the final stop, where visitors park up at the North Pole Station to sit back and relax with an ultimate Christmas hit from the comfort of their own car.

Have you been naughty or nice this year?

Visitors can choose between ‘nice’ events suitable for families, and the strictly-for-adults ‘naughty’ alternative this Christmas.

For the ‘nice’ child-friendly events for all the family, films include Home Alone, The Polar Express, Elf, The Grinch and more.

Little ones can post their letter to Santa in the post box, and you can explore the North Pole from the safety of your car.

Santa’s elves will be on hand performing acrobatics and tricks as you watch the film – and there will also be a special message from Father Christmas himself.

Alternatively, adults can bask in all the pleasures of the North Pole – naughty style.

Films include The Holiday, Bad Santa, Die Hard and Love Actually, and there may be appearances from some scantily dressed elves – and maybe even Santa himself after a few festive drinks.

The events will be a space for people to come and enjoy live events with members of their household, all whilst adhering to social-distancing guidelines.

There will be many toilets on-site, all of which will only allow one person at a time and will be regularly cleaned, and hand sanitiser will be available throughout the location, including within the toilets.

ChristmasCity will be taking over EventCity from 4th December to 31st December 2020. Tickets are £40 per vehicle and you can book online.
