More places to eat and visit now reopening their doors to the public is great news both for the hospitality and tourism industry and those of us who like to get out and about.

For dog owners though, it can be tricky to find somewhere where the our four-legged friends can come too – whether that’s for a day out or a meal out.

Now, dog-friendly holiday provider Canine Cottages has crunched the TripAdvisor data to find the most dog-friendly places to go in Manchester.

Based on the percentage of reviews on TripAdvisor suggesting a place was dog-friendly, they found the most dog-friendly places to visit, pubs and cafes – which can also be found in this interactive map.

Data was collected by searching for ‘dog-friendly’ in TripAdvisor, and then analysing the full set of search results by comparing the number of reviews for each place mentioning ‘dog-friendly’ to the total number of reviews.

With 2021 set to be the year of the staycation, there couldn’t be a better time to explore Manchester with our dogs – so here’s where to go.
