Hungry shoppers can test their appetite to the max this April with a brand new tasty competition at intu Trafford Centre.

Dine around the Dome is an epic eating challenge in which teams of ambitious diners will devour their way through a delicious array of courses from around the world from the shopping centre’s extensive choice of international restaurants including Nandos, Giraffe, GBK, Wokooshi, Wagamama and Tampopo.

With 5 participants per team, each hungry diner will be invited to eat one course from one restaurant in the fastest time possible. The team which finishes all its courses in the fastest time will win prizes from Wagamama and Aerial Extreme.

Each team member must raise a minimum of £50 to be donated to Once Upon a Smile, a Manchester-based charity that provides practical and emotional support for bereaved families.

Once Upon a Smile’s corporate partner Leasing Options is offering the chance for two lucky participants to drive off with either a BMW or a Ranger Rover for the weekend.

“intu Trafford Centre has over 60 renowned restaurants, cafes and bars offering delicious courses inspired from around the world,” says intu Trafford Centre general manager Richard Paxton.

“Dine around the Dome gives food lovers the opportunity to taste some of their most exciting dishes and also raise money for a much deserving local charity. We urge competitors to tuck in and shoppers to dig deep!”

The competition will be screened live throughout the Orient, giving shoppers an opportunity to cheer the teams on and donate to the charity.”

Daniel Jillings, co-founder of Once Upon a Smile, said: “We’re very privileged to continue our partnership with intu Trafford Centre and explore new and exciting ideas and events to fundraise.”

Dine around the Dome takes place on Thursday 6 April at 6.30pm in the Orient – Europe’s biggest food court.
