Gatherings may be off the cards, but you can still enjoy a half term celebration with the family or with your social bubble without straying too far from home in Manchester.

The Corn Exchange Manchester has a range of exciting offers and activities for all ages this month, from games and ghost hunts to deals on meals.

For households that fancy some adventure this half term, head to Escape Hunt for a Halloween ghost hunt that takes families on a mission around the Corn Exchange – or even a spy-themed game that takes you across the city centre.

There are also indoor games if the weather’s not playing ball, as well as a new play-at-home Day of the Dead themed game that can be downloaded and enjoyed.

And after working up an appetite, there are some great deals on meals for all of the family – plus a few boozy bargains to be had for mum and dad.

Casual Indian restaurant Mowgli has a fantastic kids’ menu, and is offering a free small lassi (that’s a delicious long yoghurt cooler) with every meal.

And Banyan is continuing to spoil Mancunians this month by extending its Eat Out to Help Out offer, meaning diners can enjoy 50 per cent off food every Monday and Tuesday, including during half term week.

Plus, the Banyan bar and grill is offering two for one cocktails every day from 4pm, and on glasses of wine and bottles of beer and cider every Wednesday and Thursday. Cheers to that!

Early birds and brunch buddies can head to Cosy Club to enjoy delicious dishes including a cooked breakfast or buttermilk pancakes, plus any size hot drink, for just £8.50.

Those looking for something boozy for their bubble can try two tantalising tipples for the price of one, every Sunday to Thursday after 5pm.

And while Doner Haus might be all about the German beers, the restaurant also has a fabulous cocktail menu. Two cocktails for the price of one can be enjoyed every Sunday-Thursday and before 6pm on Friday and Saturday.

For those not taking a break this half term, why not treat yourself to curry in a hurry at Delhi House Café? The Express Menu is available all day every day and includes a starter and then a choice of a veggie or meat curry with rice or roti.

Meanwhile at Gino’s, the Italian chef himself is picking up half of the food and soft drink bill, to the value of £10 per person Monday to Wednesday, when diners join his club.

Head to the Club Individual website for more information and use code CXMCR to gain this extra reward. And as if that wasn’t reason enough to join the club, kids also eat for free on Sundays when accompanied by an adult club member.

Feeling the winter chill? Warm up with a steaming hot bowl of pho noodle soup, with a side of prawn (or prawn-less) crackers and a drink for just £9.95. This offer is available weekdays at Pho from opening to 4pm.

Meanwhile, Zizzi’s is offering three courses from their set menu for just £17.95. Feast on fabulous Italian fare, from pizza to pasta, and of course, decadent desserts.

The Corn Exchange’s other residents, including Salvi’s and Pizza Express are also all open for business with magnificent meals to be had this half term.

Or for a real half term holiday experience, why not treat the whole family to a staycation at Roomzzz and enjoy a city centre stay in one of the hotels beautiful apartments

Join the hotel’s new Perkzzz reward scheme to enjoy 10 percent off a stay.
