Coca-Cola truck tour

Christmas in November is an absolute no-no for some people. If you’re one of them, please look away now and carry on bah-humbugging until the 24th of December when you might just get out a sorry piece of tinsel and tape it to your mantelpiece.

We, on the other hand, love it. Christmas everything. Sleigh bells and Christmas tunes and all the Yule logs we can carry. We have no problem scoffing a mince pie or two in November. Mulled wine, heck to the yes. Chocolate coins, fairy lights and mistletoe. We’ll take them all.

For some people Christmas starts when you open up a tin of Quality Street and binge on the toffee fingers or start to see slightly crap Christmas decorations flashing down your street.

For many, however, the official start of Crimbo comes with that Coca-Cola advert on TV. You know the one. Santa Claus, shining lights and cosy Christmassy bottles of Coke.

The one and only bright red truck is a sure sign that the festive season is upon us. It signifies that the time has come to deck the halls and step into Christmas. And admission’s free, folks.

Yes, the Coca-Cola Christmas truck has become something of an icon. And it’s arriving in our fair city on 2 December, featuring a whopping 8,772 fairy lights and playing the Holidays are Coming jingle.

If you fancy seeing it in action, head down to intu Trafford Centre and you’ll have the chance to have your photo taken and then receive a complimentary 150ml can of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke or new improved Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. Click here for more info.

You’ll also be happy to know that this month will also see Coca-Cola’s Holidays are Coming advert return to British screens, 22 years since first being aired. Ho Ho Ho.
