A big festival celebrating chips in all their glory is coming to Manchester this summer.

Taking place on 1st August, Chips Glorious Chips looks set to be a potato party to remember.

The five-hour event will celebrate the humble fried potato in all its forms – from the french fry to the cheeky wedge.

So whether you like your chips shoestring, crinkle cut, curly or chunky, smothered in gravy, covered in curry sauce or doused in cheese, you shouldn’t leave disappointed.

And of course, there’ll be plenty of dips and sauces to go around, because what are chips without sauce?

We’re crossing our fingers for a few slices of bread and some barms, too, for those all-important chip butties.

On the drinks front, think themed soft drinks and cocktails aplenty. And for entertainment, there’ll be a DJ spinning tunes throughout.

The location of this incredible chip festival is currently being kept under wraps, but will be revealed by organisers closer to the time.

For now, you can sign up to be alerted when tickets go on sale to guarantee yourself a spot.

We’d recommend getting in early – this looks set to be a big one.
