Temporary tattoos featuring the worker bee and I Love MCR icons are to go on sale to raise money for the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund set up to help the victims of the Arena terrorist attack.
The symbols have become incredibly popular as an expression of Mancunian resilience and solidarity following the attack. Many people, including Ariana Grande, have been getting worker bee tattoos, with tattoo artists donating the money to the Emergency Fund.
“We thought it would be a great idea to make temporary tattoos available to the public,” said I Love MCR founder Chris Greenhalgh.
“This means that anyone – even children – can show their love for their city without having to have a permanent tattoo.”
The tattoos are easy to apply and remove using warm soapy water, and are the only official temporary tattoos available.
Boxes of the tattoo transfers, created in association with www.funstickers.com, cost £2 for a pack of 4 designs with all proceeds going to the We Love Manchester Fund established with British Red Cross to raise money for the victims of the 22nd May Manchester Arena terror attack and their families.
They are available from stores in Manchester Arndale. They will also be sold from the gift card kiosk on the upper mall near Next/Topshop on 8th/9th July and at the intu Trafford Centre and Altrincham Shopping Centre from 8th July. They can also be purchased online here.
