Hatch, a place to shop, eat and drink with over 30 independent traders, has this month welcomed a brand new food offering – Indian fusion foodies Cheeky Tikka Bites.
Based in Alderley Edge, Cheeky Tikka has become a go-to destination amongst Cheshire foodies, thanks to a string of successful pop-up restaurants launched in June 2021.
Their Indian-fusion flavours and a dedication to serving authentic, healthy dishes made from the finest ingredients has led to five-star reviews and sell-out pop-up events.
Cheeky Tikka was born during the first wave of the pandemic in 2020 as chef and owner Aisha Tilstone combined her event planning experience with her passion for cooking, wanting to offer traditional Indian food with a modern twist.
The team prides itself on their unique culinary identity, using fresh ingredients with no artificial additives, preservatives or colourings.
The coveted catering service, previously only available to a limited number of customers a week, will now be available at Hatch as the team brings a new street food menu of freshly prepared dishes to Oxford Road.
For their first city centre outpost at Hatch, under the Mancunian Way flyover, menu highlights include fan favourite ‘cheeky samosa chaat’ – a crispy samosa topped with a mildly spiced chickpea salsa, pomegranate and a mint and tamarind sauce; as well as their ‘cheeky chips and gravy’ – chunky chips with lashings of butter chicken and gravy.
The selection of small artisanal plates will be mostly gluten-free, low in fat and, they promise, full of flavour.
“We can’t wait to bring an authentic taste of India to Hatch,” said Aisha from Cheeky Tikka Bites.
“There is such a great mix of cuisines at the destination and we are so excited to complete the Hatch family with delicious, warming South Asian food.”
Cheeky Tikka Bites is open now at Hatch, 103 Oxford Road, M1 7ED.
