Ever walked into a shop and just felt overwhelmed by the choice? Should you go for the fur rimmed bomber jacket or those oh-so-chic leather pants?

Perhaps you’ve got a hot date. Or night out. Or both. You’ve left it all so last minute as usual and you’re half considering staying in your onesie and filling up a hot water bottle and pulling the sickie card. We’ve all been there too.

Whether you fancy bagging yourself some rather plush looking leather pants that’ll make that tush pop or snagging a gigantic swaddling scarf a la Lenny Kravitz for the autumn season, there’s help at hand from the personal shopping team at intu Trafford Centre.

They’ll take you from zero to hero in no time. So grab that bottle of dry shampoo, peel yourself off the settee and get yourself down.

As it happens, I did have a hot date. Well, when I say date I mean cocktail catchup with a couple of girlfriends and an upcoming office party. You can only wear your LBD a certain amount of times before it gets a bit tragic. I desperately needed a new outfit.

Personal Shopping Topshop Manchester

First stop, Debenhams. I’ll admit that I felt a little sceptical about Debs. I had rarely ventured into the department store since my pre-teen years, when my mum would drag me there to scan the back-to-school sale or snag a last minute gift for my nan. Probably a floral bath set of some sort. So yes, Debenhams hardly screams must-have fashion.

I stepped into the personal shopper styling unit and was immediately greeted by my stylist, poised and ready to dress me to the nines. She asked me if I wanted a drink – who can say no to a cuppa? – then sat down with me on the gloriously soft sofa to discuss my fashion preferences and what I was looking for.

As I sipped on my brew, my Debenhams personal shopper ambled off to the racks to sift through the many colour schemes and preferred fits. I then went for a make-up match session at their Two Faced beauty counter and had my glam turned from day to night. Quick glass of champagne and then off to my next appointment.

Next on the list was Topshop. The Trafford Centre store is the biggest outside London and it really was a serenely stylish shopping suite. The personal shopper studio was located snugly down a marvellous spiral staircase that cascaded into a brightly lit room that looked like something from a beauty blogger’s dream.

Think stripped back decor paired with plush white trimmings and luxe furnishings. A little bit of paradise tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping area. The music was equally smooth and kept an upbeat tempo to match the edgy couture.

I tried everything from sheer bodysuits to rose coloured cropped leggings. All on trend and typically mismatched in true Topshop style. They looked lush and I was beaming from ear to ear as I left the shop. Click here to shop it.

I also popped into Gap, John Lewis and Oasis to check out their personal shopping services and I’m writing this with a spring in my step as I have a whole new A/W wardrobe. From service to style, everything was perfect.
