Bittersweet Home, the Manchester-based event team known for their celebrations of the city’s music and culture, is returning to Salford Lads Club with a two-day fundraising event to help secure the future of this beloved community venue.
With the club’s financial target set at £250,000, Bittersweet Home has set their sights on rallying fans and locals to pitch in through a blend of unique events, musical memorabilia, and a live Q&A with a Manchester music legend.
“After seeing the overwhelming support at our Together We’ll Fly event in June, where we broke records for Salford Lads Club’s donations, it was an easy decision to come back when they asked for help,” said Kyle Dale, Director of Bittersweet Home.
“We love a challenge, and with just two weeks to prepare, we’re ready to give everything we’ve got to make this weekend something unforgettable.
“We’ve got incredible Manchester memorabilia, a lineup of local talent, and of course, a rare chance to meet Tony McCarroll, founding member and drummer of Oasis.”
Tony McCarroll Q&A with John Robb
The weekend’s centrepiece is a Q&A session on Sunday, November 24th, with Oasis’s original drummer Tony McCarroll, hosted by music journalist John Robb.
McCarroll, a founding member of Oasis, will share stories from his time with the band, giving fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the legendary Manchester music scene.
Tickets are on sale now, and at £40 for an early bird rate, they’re selling fast—all proceeds going directly to the Salford Lads Club fund.

A Manchester music showcase
Throughout the weekend, Bittersweet Home will display an extensive collection of Manchester music memorabilia, from vintage gig posters to rare collectibles from icons like The Smiths, Oasis, Courteeners, and Stone Roses.
This unique exhibition is open to the public with a suggested £10 donation, giving attendees a chance to revel in Manchester’s rich musical history while contributing to a cause rooted in the same community.
A bid to Save Salford Lads Club
As part of the fundraising, an especially rare piece of Manchester music history will be up for auction.
A cherry Hofner guitar, owned by Oasis’s own Noel Gallagher, is currently available through Propstore Auction, with 20% of the final sale price earmarked for Salford Lads Club.
Propstore’s unique offer brings a valuable opportunity for collectors and fans alike to make a difference while owning a true piece of Manchester’s rock legacy.

The full lineup of artists and speakers is expected to be announced in the days leading up to the event, with surprises rumoured to include other Manchester music legends.
Kyle said: “We’re filling both days with the best local talent and Manchester royalty, giving fans even more reason to come out and support.”
Bittersweet Home and Salford Lads Club are urging music fans, Manchester locals, and supporters of community spaces to come out, donate, and be a part of history.
With a weekend packed full of music, memories, and Manchester legends, every ticket, bid, and donation will help secure the club’s future for generations to come.
