Last September one of Manchester’s most beautiful hotels, King Street Townhouse, converted its basement floor into The Cellars: a small luxury screening room, fitted out with cosy seating and ambient lighting.

Originally built in 1872 for the Manchester and Salford Trustees Bank, the building retains a huge amount of character and has many gorgeous period features.

The Cellars are fitted out with plush sofa seats and individual table lamps, and this week will be running exclusive screenings of your favourite secret agent sagas. Starting with the 2015 Daniel Craig classic Spectre this evening, you can also catch screenings of Casino Royale, Skyfall and Goldfinger throughout the week, with the last screening at 8pm on Saturday.

Seating only twenty per session, the screenings are intimate and the atmosphere inside is certainly a cosy one. For the price of a £31.50 per ticket you’ll enjoy the full 007 VIP experience with either a martini (shaken, not stirred) or a glass of Champagne on arrival, followed by bottomless popcorn, a selection of pick ‘n’ mix and a tub of ice-cream to enjoy during your movie.

The team at King Street Townhouse are always close by to cater to your needs, so don’t worry if you’re feeling parched half-way through the movie: you won’t even need to leave you seat to order that second (or third) martini as the action begins to pick up its pace.

The Cellars are also available for private screenings on request, so if you fancy doing something a little bit special for a loved one or for your next work event, get in touch with the events team to arrange.
