The former Henry J. Beans unit in The Printworks has undergone a spectacular, half-million pound renovation to transform it into a new-style Walkabout…

The new venue will benefit from plush V.I.P. areas as well as a state-of-the-art wave bar, where linked screens showing under the sea and surf footage combine with specialist lighting to give the impression of being in a coral-reef paradise.

It will be decorated in an urban style and will boast a variety of pre-bookable booths and private areas for parties, meals, club nights and live music. An impressive sound and light system will top everything off, making the new Walkabout Manchester’s latest party venue.

Front row seats can also be pre-booked for all major televised live sports events. They’ll be shown on giant new projection screens, and multiple HD TVs, reaffirming Walkabout’s reputation as the best place in town for that big match atmosphere.

Walkabout’s new food menu will also be on offer, with a delicious selection of light bites, main meals, sharing dishes and party platters, along with a new drinks menu that includes wines, beers and mouth-watering cocktails, inspired by the spirit of Australia.

Already well known for its legendary party nights and live sports, the new venue has been designed to mean that, combined with the delicious new menu, Walkabout is also now the perfect place for an impromptu coffee, relaxing lunch or a chilled out afternoon on your own or with friends.

General manager Martin Angus said: “The Printworks is already known for being a fantastic entertainment hub and we’re sure that our new venue won’t disappoint. We’re already taking bookings for our opening night and beyond and can’t wait to show people what we’ve got on offer.”

Printworks director Fred Booth said: “We’re really looking forward to welcoming Walkabout as a new tenant in The Printworks. Known for great nights out and sport, they’re set to bring an exciting new vibrancy to the complex, which is already Manchester’s number one party venue.

“Walkabout’s addition to our scheme heralds the start of an exciting new year of change and really compliments the new openings we have coming in 2016.”

The new Walkabout will celebrate its opening in style with an exclusive V.I.P opening party from 5pm on Thursday 10th December, showcasing Manchester’s best DJs, live entertainment, champagne and canapés from the new menu.
