Spring has finally sprung, the clocks have moved forward, and it doesn’t take much more than one solid day of sunshine to get the Manchester masses thinking about a G&T on a terrace. Even if it’s, well, still a bit ‘brass monkey’ outside.

Where’s the best place in Manchester for a gin and tonic on a terrace? Look no further than Atlas Bar.

The iconic Deansgate bar has been a Manchester institution for over two decades and has served the likes of Tony Wilson back in the day. Atlas has matured into a sophisticated bar specialising in gins from around the world, with over 570 and counting.

As well as stocking the largest selection of gin in Manchester city centre – with an actual gin bible featuring favourites such as Manchester Rasberry, Cuckoo, their own unique in-house creations and hundreds more – Atlas Bar is now offering up probably the best gin and tonic deal in the city.

Their ‘Gin Paddle Boards’ consist of three (single) gins, plus a bottle of Double Dutch tonic, paired garnishes and ice served on a handy wooden board, all from just a tenner.

Choose from measures of Atlas Premium Small Batch London Dry, Atlas Manchester Strength, Atlas Old Tom all for just £10; or Cuckoo Gin, Cuckoo Solace, Cuckoo Sunshine for £12; or Divine Gin, Divine Raspberry, Divine Strawberry & Lime for £12; or Four Pillars Rare, Four Pillars Navy Strength, Four Pillars Shiraz for £13; or Gordons Sicilian Lemon, Mediterranean Orange, Pink Gin for £10; or Tarquin’s Gin, The Seadog, Tarquin’s Blackberry & Honey for £12.

If that’s not enough to tempt you, the legendary bar boasts one of the biggest beer gardens in the city – equipped with heaters for when the illusive sun starts to go down and you haven’t finished your drinks.

If you get peckish, Atlas Bar offers any three small plates, all made fresh in-house, for just £15. Choose from Chorizo & Sweet Potato Croquettes, Falafel Fritters, Chilli & Ginger Chicken Wings or Halloumi Sticks for what works out at just £5 per dish.

Get off the tram at Deansgate-Castlefield, and you can’t miss it.

Drink responsibly.
