Cult Manc burger and milkshake favourites Archie’s have revealed today they will be opening a new burger bar at the Trafford Centre.
It will take over the former La Tasca unit in the centre’s Orient food quarter this Spring.
The new 250-seat site will house a ball pit and swings inside a pink room as well as the chain’s signature comfy booths.
The new burger bar is just one of three planned openings for the chain this year, which will bring Archie’s up to six Manchester sites in total.
The first to open will be the long-awaited site at Piccadilly Approach next month, which has been two years in the making.
Like the Trafford Centre site, it will also boast a ball pit and swings.
Then this summer, bosses will open their third at Manchester Airport’s new super terminal.
2020 marks the growing chain’s 10th anniversary, having opened its first site on Manchester Oxford Road in 2010.
Known for its stacked burgers, shakes and celebrity collaborations, it’s spent the past decade steadily taking on traditional fast-food competitors like McDonald’s and Burger King.
And it’s so popular, it’s not at all unusual to see queues.
Archie’s is also looking at opening a Leicester Square branch in London to add to its growing national portfolio.
