We Love Our Planet is a new organisation which has been set up to raise funds for charities which care for animals and the environment.

dedicated to
the inhabitants
of planet earth
with no voice.”

Founder Alan Berry and his partner Lesley (pictured below) dreamt of building a sanctuary for injured and sick animals. Lesley was never to see this dream come true and passed away in April 2013. Alan’s love for Lesley has made this dream into reality. He founded We Love Our Planet to connect the ecologically minded community, where people who care for the environment, treatment and care of animals can network, share products, events and skills and make a difference.

The launch event will feature TED-style panel discussions with animal rights activists, a design competition and lots of musical entertainment including shows from Badly Drawn Boy and The Exceptional Remarkables. The first 20 tickets through the door will receive a customised WLOP fairtrade tote bag.

This show is a ticketed event in the upstairs venue at The Deaf Institute. The middle floor of the venue will be hosted by a selection of some of Manchester’s finest local DJs as an open part of the event.
