Albert's Didsbury

After a three month transformation, bosses of Albert’s bar and restaurant in Didsbury have unveiled their opulent £500,000 revamp.

We headed down for the first look at the eye-catching new interiors on Thursday, ahead of its opening weekend.

Revellers can expect a lush new look, with sleek green velvet and beige leather booths, brass fittings and a wall of living plants.

There’s also a new larger bar area, with elegant booth seating and marble tables for larger parties for the venue which first opened in Didsbury nine years ago.

The opening will be celebrated with a party for Albert’s Didsbury customers and local residents to welcome them to the completely redesigned restaurant next week.

The expansion of the bar area will create what bosses hope will be a new destination for local residents as well as visitors from further afield.  The bar team are promising a fabulous new bar experience with a big revamped range of local craft beers, cocktails, fizz and wines – including the full range of Didsbury Gin, naturally.

The popular outside area boasts a brand new look including chairs and tables for 76 people on the terrace and up to 120 people on the lower terrace.

The Albert’s Didsbury food menu retains all of their signature dishes – as well as for the first time adding a traditional afternoon tea menu – and the option of a kids’ afternoon tea too!

Albert’s boss James Ramsbottom said: “We cannot wait to reveal our new look to all our loyal customers old and new, and to say a big thank you for their patience over the past couple of months while we’ve been busy with the refurb.

“We’ve been open for nine years in Didsbury now and a lot of customers have asked why the need for a refurb – but it’s just to freshen things up.

“It’s all about raising the game.  We’ve added more softness, more comfortable seating around the bar area and just updating the look.

“The new design is stunning, and we are sure everyone will love the new look. We’ve all worked hard to ensure we are open and ready for business on Mother’s Day which is a very popular day with our customers.”
