Next week, Meatless Farm is taking over SecretCity to launch the UK’s first-ever plant-based ‘barbe-thru’ (a barbecue drive-thru).
Located right next to the Trafford Centre, the ‘M*** F*** Barbe-Thru’ three-day pop-up launches on Monday 9th August and is open to all, including cars, bikes, walkers and e-scooters, to pass through, park up or sit at picnic benches to enjoy some banging beats, barbecue eats and bar drinks.
They’ll be serving up a mouth-watering menu from the grill, including a plant-based ‘Katsu Dog’ and loaded fries.
And the first 50 visitors each day will receive a delicious barbecue dish completely free of charge, too. Otherwise, food prices start from just £5 – and entry is completely free.
Keeping things green, Meatless Farm is also giving 50% off for those in electric cars, on bicycles or e-scooters.
The M** F** barbe-thru launch follows the success of the UK’s first ever plant-based drive thru launched by Meatless Farm last summer in London with fans demanding one up North close to the brand’s homeland of Leeds.
“Our M*** F*** Barbe-thru is serving up a double helping of bangers from both the grill and DJ to celebrate the summer and bring people back together after a challenging year,” said Morten Toft Bech, founder of Meatless Farm.
“We want to show people they can still fire up and enjoy delicious barbecue foods without meat so it becomes a preference rather than an option.
“Taking small steps to eating less meat can make a big difference towards building a more sustainable planet.”
The M** F** Barbe-Thru opens Monday 9th August to Wednesday 11th August 2021 from midday to 8.30pm every day at SecretCity, Phoenix Way, Trafford Park, Stretford, Manchester M41 7TB. If taking public transport from the city centre, please note the venue is a 5 minute walk from Barton Dock Rd tram stop.
