When you think of good quality Italian food, you immediately think fancy restaurant, mood lighting, and a long wait for your meal. Sometimes it feels like it would be quicker to fly to Italy yourself.

But what if you could get your food in the space of 10 minutes?

WOLF is an Italian street food restaurant in the newly refurbished Halle Place in the Manchester Arndale, bringing you a brand new type of fast food using only the freshest ingredients to create the true Italian flavours we all know and love – but without the wait.

So what’s on the menu? Fresh focaccia, pastas, salads and hand-stretched pizzas all prepared in-house, pestos, parmesan and Italian sauces and their own special breakfast menu.

The star dish, however, is the piada, Italy’s answer to the burrito. Typically found in in the Romagna region in north east Italy, a piada – or piadina – is a thin, Italian flatbread used for sandwiches – typically various meats and cheeses – and served folded.

WOLF offers a twist on this traditional dish, swapping rice for spaghettini and rolling it burrito-style, with a mix of fillings, sauces, and cheeses.

Founder Tim Entwistle, who is from Bolton, is delighted to have finally found a venue in Manchester.
After setting up in Chiswick in 2015, WOLF now have seven venues across the country, with plans to open further venues in Nottingham and Spinningfields later this year.

“I’ve been wanting to launch a site here for a while,” says Tim. “It’s my home city, really.”

The Arndale restaurant is next door to the UK’s leading burrito business – which is ironic, says Tim, because what he wanted to do was mimic what they have been doing but with Italian flavours.

“People love burritos, but they’ll also love what we do.”

WOLF also offer their own home-roasted, small batch Italian coffee and are working hard to create their very own beer to accompany and compliment the Italian flavours they serve.

Feeding the pack? WOLF have a business platter menu, allowing you to buy in bulk to take back to the office offering everything from yummy breakfast options, piada platters, freshly made pizza delivery and mouth watering desserts like brownies, cookies and muffins.
