From carol-oke and cocktails at the après-ski bar to awesome street food or shopping for premium gifts and stocking fillers, there’s plenty going on at Spinningfields this Christmas.
The 30ft Christmas tree, the biggest in Manchester, is in the middle of the Spinningfields Christmas Market, which showcases the work of local artisans. The market’s open 11am-7pm, Thursday-Sunday from 10th November to 17th December, offering everything from unique Christmas gifts to arts, crafts and vintage items.
Traders will vary from week to week, making each visit different to the last.
To add to this year’s festive experience, the market is also playing host to traders from the British Street Food Awards, including Artisan, KerbEdge, Blue Caribou Poutine and Diamond Dogs.
If you’re looking for somewhere a bit different to get cosy, there’s plenty of options.
Bar Hütte, the mini-Alpine village, is back on Deansgate hosting a large indoor après-ski bar and eight pre-bookable hüttes that seat 10, plus a VIP hütte seating 20.
This year, every single hütte comes equipped with carol-oke, festive lights, rustic wooden décor and a dedicated host to serve hot and cold refreshments and can be booked online.
Two giant Oast House teepees complete with open fires and German beers have already made an appearance in Crown Square, and don’t forget the Christmas igloos over at The Refinery for one of the coolest spots in Manchester to enjoy a Christmas tipple.
