Mulligans, renowned for its exceptional craic, atmosphere, and the ‘best Guinness outside of Ireland’, has opened up an amazing upstairs space.
This news will be welcome to many, as the pub is often cosy to the point of crowded, with queues around the block to get in – but that’s the price you pay for having such a great pint and brilliant atmosphere.
The iconic pub, known for hosting live music seven days a week, has taken things to the next level with the new upstairs space.
Mulligan’s expansion
The new area has high ceilings and multiple levels, offering an even more rewarding atmosphere with an increase in live music performances.
There’s a great nook on the top floor for a band to play, creating an unrivalled atmosphere.
This expansion has more than doubled capacity, allowing them to welcome even more guests and enjoy the exceptional experience Mulligans is known for.
The new upstairs area will also be available for private parties and events, making it the perfect venue for any celebration.
Table service at Mulligans
Additionally, a premium service element has been introduced – while the downstairs area remains a walk-in bar, the mezzanines upstairs offer optional table service via QR code, featuring a designated server.
This new service will enhance the convenience and experience for guests.
“We are super excited to unveil our new upstairs space,” says Pádraig Brady, owner of Mulligans.
“This expansion not only allows us to host more guests but also provides an even more dynamic environment with additional live music and new premium services and spaces which will be available for hire. We look forward to our customers experiencing this new venue.”
A top spot for Guinness
Earlier this year, Mulligans was recognised as one of the best pubs in the UK for enjoying a perfect pint of Guinness.
As St. Patrick’s Day approached, the pub was celebrated as one of the top 10 places in the country to savour the Irish stout, according to the brewery.
Notably, Mulligans was the only pub in the North West to make this prestigious list.
When will the expansion open?
There you have it Manchester, head on down to Mulligans on Friday, 30th August, no excuses needed.
More room, more music and more craic. What’s not to like.
