Saturday is already our favourite day of the week. Friday night antics are over. Sunday morning laziness is on the horizon. Saturday is ‘you day’ and it’s just been taken up a notch with the revamped Electro Brunch at Gaucho.

Known for its unbeatable Argentinian fare and a wine list longer than your arm, Gaucho has just unleashed a new brunch menu with enough sweet treats to make Mary Berry cry.

The food at Gaucho speaks for itself. Everything is made to mouth-watering perfection, with real Argentine flair inspiring each dish. One of the sweet treats on offer is homemade dulce de leche and, let me tell you, you’ll want to make the pilgrimage to Gaucho for this alone.

If you’ve never tried dulce de leche, it’s a traditional Argentinian dessert that looks a bit like toffee but has a taste all of its own. It’s made from scratch at Gaucho and the gooey caramelly good stuff is mixed with peanut butter and then spread across fresh fluffy French toast. I’ll let you think about that for a moment.

Other flavourful food on the menu includes fried Provoleta cheese with a caramelised onion chutney and oven baked chorizo sausage with plum tomato, eggs and mushroom. They have smashed avo toast of course (well, it wouldn’t be brunch without it) and fresh baked banana pancakes. Swoon.

Drinkswise there’s all sorts of boozy good stuff, including Aperol Spritz, Domain Chandon, Rubia Pilsner Lager and, of course, the Gaucho signature Bloody Mary. But if you’re teetotal or recovering from a Friday night binge,  Gaucho is also offering a brand new ‘blend your own juice’ station. Pick from the seasonal fruit on offer and they will fix you up a healthful beverage in no time.

Electro Brunch is served between 11am – 4pm and costs £45 per person. This includes all food and drink consumed for two hours from the time of seating, so do feel free to let loose.
