The Corn Exchange has just upped its game and created a unique way for you to indulge in your love of reading.

Nestled in the stunning historic building, with all its fascinating stories, is a brand-new book vending machine in the beautiful atrium.

Are you in need of a good read for your daily commute, or perhaps you want to refresh your home library with some exciting new titles?

Whatever your reading needs may be, the Corn Exchange’s book vending machine has got you covered.

Even if you just fancy settling down with a page-turner and a hot cup of coffee, this vending machine is perfect for you.

But that’s not all. The team at the Corn Exchange is encouraging book enthusiasts to bring in their old books and swap them for tokens from a friendly host.

With the Read. Swap. Repeat system, guests can grab their next thrilling read from the vending machine, choosing from a mix of pre-loved books of all genres, free of charge.

This exciting new addition to the Corn Exchange not only helps the environment by reducing waste, but it also creates a community of book lovers who can discover what their fellow Manchester residents are reading. Alison Hogarth, Marketing Manager at Corn Exchange, expressed her delight at the installation of the book vending machine and is excited to see what the people of Manchester are reading.

If you’re curious and want to give it a try, head on over to the Fennel Street exit of the Corn Exchange building and get your hands on some fantastic pre-loved books. Don’t forget to bring your own to swap and keep the cycle going. Happy reading, Manchester!
