The first opening of the year will be on Thursday 16th February in Wilmslow, on Water Lane.

And there will be two more to follow later in the year, with a site on Manchester’s King Street and Altrincham‘s Shaw Road planned.

So it’s a great time to be a GAIL’s fan!

Speak to I Love MCR, a spokesperson from Gail’s said:

“We are pleased GAIL’S will be opening on Manchester’s famous King Street.

“Our team has spent a lot of time in Manchester finding the right location for the bakery.

“As a neighbourhood craft bakery, we offer out customers freshly baked food, which is made on site each day and hand roasted speciality grade coffee.

“We can’t wait to bring our food and passion to Manchester, Altrincham and Wilmslow this year.”

The bakery was started by Yael (Gail) Mejia in the early 1990’s, in North London.

It has since become a sensation, bringing its chef-quality craft baking and craft principles to audiences across the south of England.

And now, luckily for us, they are heading up North.

GAIL’s already have ties to the area with their sister company, The Bread Factory, opening a Manchester bakery in Openshaw in 2017.

It has since supplied high quality, artisan breads to some of the region’s top local restaurants.

GAIL’S said that the new bakeries will create jobs for people into “craft baking, specialty coffee and bakery management.”
