Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen joined the cast of THE BAND onstage for the finale at a recent performance of the new musical.

The show made its world premiere at the Manchester Opera House earlier this month and it’s packing them in.

It’s about what it’s like to grow up with a boyband.  For five 16 year-old friends in 1992, ‘the band’ is everything.

25 years on, we are reunited with the group of friends, now 40-something women, as they try once more to fulfil their dream of meeting their heroes.

Based on a true story, the show features the music of Take That and stars AJ Bentley, Nick Carsberg, Curtis T Johns, Yazdan Qafouri and Sario Solomon, who won BBC’s Let It Shine as Five to Five.

But is it any good? The press night isn’t until Tuesday 26 September 2017 so you probably won’t have seen any reviews, but here’s one we found by a blogger.

If you want to go and see it you’d better be quick. At the end of the month it’s going on a major UK tour which ends in Edinburgh next July.

Manchester Opera House until 30 September 2017
