The City of Manchester Distillery, home of Three Rivers Gin, has won a gold award at The Distillery Masters 2017 – just five months after starting to trade

Chaired by The Spirits Business and judged by a panel of specialists, The Global Distillery Masters awards reward the world’s finest distilleries across the entire spirits sector.

The gold award is in the consumer experience category which rewards distilleries that are leading the way in their approach to educating, engaging and delighting their guests.

‘’Since we opened our doors in August 2016 we have been overwhelmed by the support and positivity from the local community as well as people from all over the country who have visited us,” said master distiller Dave Rigby.

“We are very proud to be awarded gold for our Gin Experience. It was always our vision to not only create a super premium gin but to also create an interesting and innovative space that the people of Manchester could be proud of and allowed them to participate in the gin renaissance with us.’’

The city centre gin distillery has brought the spirit of production back to the heart of the city. It’s where super premium Manchester Three Rivers Gin is hand crafted in small batches using a beautiful custom made Arnold Holstein copper still.

The distillery’s interactive, immersive Gin Experience gives visitors the chance to experience what it is like to be a master distiller with a choice of over 50 botanicals. At the end of the tour, guests get the opportunity to make their very own bottle of gin to take home using their own mini-copper still.

Manchester Three Rivers Gin Tours run Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7.30pm and also Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 1.00pm. Tickets and gift vouchers can be purchased on the website.
