The models are a teeny 9.5cm in height – 19 times smaller than the average 5ft 11” model.
They will rotate around an automated catwalk measuring just 1300mm by 900mm with paparazzi flashbulbs flashing. If you blink behind your obligatory dark glasses you could miss the exquisitely detailed, miniature designs.
The tiny fashion show of haute couture miniature dresses is part of the Sylvanian Families Town Roadshow.
Sylvanian Families Town includes a Designer’s Studio run by the upcoming, young fashion designer and new Sylvanian character, Stella Chocolate.
Shoppers at intu Trafford Centre will be able to watch Sylvanian characters strut their stuff down the catwalk, modelling Stella’s first collection – eye-wateringly small, bespoke outfits, handmade exclusively in Japan.
Throughout the day, children can watch their favourite characters – Freya Chocolate, Ralph Walnut Squirrel plus the new Town characters, Stella Chocolate and Theodore Maple Cat – singing and dancing or pose for photographs with them between the shows.
Wannabe designers can also put their fashion skills to the test at the event by entering the Stella’s Intern competition to design a miniature dress. The lucky winner will have their design made into a real dress, as well as winning a whole town worth £500.
The Sylvanian Families Town Roadshow will take place on Lower Peel Avenue at intu Trafford Centre on Saturday 31st March from 10am to 5pm. The performances will take place at 11am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm, and 4pm.
