Weekend treat? Sundays in The River Restaurant are always a special occasion, but this December they’re offering a special seasonal three course menu for just £29.95.

Festive afternoon tea

A complete Christmas indulgence, try afternoon tea with a festive twist with mouthwatering cakes and heartwarming festive fancies for all the family to enjoy. 

For £24.50 (or £34 including a glass of champagne), you’ll get a selection of savoury treats – including the rather special roast Cheshire turkey with sage stuffing and cranberry sauce – followed by plain and fruit scones, strawberry preserve and Cornish clotted cream.

And don’t forget the seasonal sweet treats – think Mont Blanc with chestnut and dark chocolate, and gingerbread cake with clementine and mascarpone.

Christmas Day dining

Why not take the stress and strain out of Christmas Day, and instead celebrate and enjoy time with friends and family in the luxurious surroundings of The River Restaurant?

Enjoy a glass of prosecco on arrival followed by a delicious lunch, with sumptuous starters such as tartare of dry aged sirloin with oscietra caviar, miso and coal oil powder.

As well as traditional turkey or a delicious veggie Wellington option, other mains include fillet of British beef and Marmite glazed cheek with clotted cream mash and winter truffle, followed by a selection of desserts and fine British cheeses.

Wonderland at Dusk party nights

Get ready to experience a Wonderland like no other when you step through the twinkling archway on The Lowry Hotel’s shared party nights.

Available on various dates from December, you can enjoy a drink on arrival followed by a decadent and festive three course meal, followed by further refreshments and dancing until 1am. 

It’s just £59pp to get together and celebrate in  style – and you can book it for a private party night, too.

Seasonal spa pampering

Take a bit of time to unwind and recharge with a festive treatment to melt away tension in The Lowry Hotel’s award-winning spa.

The Wonderland Bliss treatment (from £65) incorporates the soothing heat of basalt stones combined with hot aromatic oils to deeply relax with a tranquillity scalp massage and warming, nourishing facial massage. 

To keep the heat flowing from the inside out, you then get a rich hot chocolate following your treatment to enjoy with a delicious cookie in their relaxation room.

Or try the Glow Package (from £80). Choose between the softening and invigorating full body scrub or a deeply relaxing back, neck and shoulder massage applied in Hawaiian sweeping strokes. 

Then whilst you are then cocooned and cosy under fluffy towels, you will be treated to an ELEMIS facial and scalp massage whilst the oils work their hydrating magic.
