Vermilion, the Thai and Indian fine dining restaurant in Miles Platting, has opened a new 800 person capacity banqueting hall.
Vermilion has extended its offer in its 10th anniversary year to cater for large weddings and events that demand style and elegance. Located next door to the main restaurant and designed by Miguel Cancio Martins, the team that created their stunning and lavish restaurant, the huge space incorporates a state-of-the-art sound system, lighting, and video installations.
Owners Iqbal Ahmed OBE and his son Manzur, who runs the venue, saw a demand from customers who wanted to hire the restaurant for the whole weekend, especially for Indian weddings where hundreds of friends and family often attend the lengthy celebrations.
This wasn’t possible with just the restaurant, as this would have meant too many regular customers would have missed out on dining at the weekend, so they purchased the warehouse next door to expand their operation to cater for both.
The opulence of the Eastern-inspired restaurant and Cinnabar cocktail lounge has been re-created in the new banqueting hall, complete with glittering entrance hall, dazzling chandeliers, plush carpets and plenty of elaborate artwork adorning the walls.
Vermilion are now taking bookings for the space, where a full wedding planning service will be offered, with prices depending on the different packages and menus all created by their talented chefs.
