Urban Splash has announced that its sales offices are to reopen this week, strictly by appointment only.
Colleagues and visitors will adhere to strict social distancing and hygiene measures, mirroring the rules brought in by the award-winning regeneration company on its construction sites which reopened earlier in the month.
Urban Splash construction colleagues have been back on site at New Islington and at the canalside Avro building on Great Ancoats Street for a couple of weeks.
Urban Splash announced the immediate closure of its sites, sales offices and factory in March, citing the safety of its colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors as a business priority. The company has worked hard to find safe ways of working within government guidelines, taking the decision to reopen sites a fortnight ago.
Non-site and non-sales colleagues will continue to work remotely from home, with the five shareholding directors continuing to take a 30% reduction in pay during lockdown and while other colleagues remain on furlough.
“There’s been much encouragement from the government this past week in getting the housing market moving,” said Urban Splash director of residential sales Guy Ackernley.
“We’re excited to play our part in that, safely moving our business forward and helping customers who want to visit our neighbourhoods.
“We have also taken the decision to reopen our sales offices; we have put measures in place to ensure that we can do this in compliance with the Covid-19 guidelines and keep our colleagues and our customers safe.”
Home buyers can also continue to view properties via the Urban Splash virtual viewings platform, which allows them to take tours of new homes from afar. 360-degree viewings of Town House homes at New Islington and Avro in Manchester are now available to tour.
The company has also unveiled new images showing the views on offer from Mansion House, a new apartment concept currently being created at New Islington.
