We’re heading into a summer full of special occasions: graduations, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, engagements. You name it, people are celebrating it in Manchester this summer.
Special occasions call for a celebration. And a proper celebration calls for a great dinner. Whilst there are plenty of great options for dining out in Manchester, sometimes it’s nice to switch things up a bit.
If you fancy doing something different from the usual meal out, we have just the place for you.
Food Sorcery is no ordinary restaurant. It’s a Didsbury cookery and barista school and as well as offering lots of cookery classes, with everything from pasta and cheese-making to BBQ grilling and student classes on offer, it also hosts bespoke private dining events with a neat twist.
Here the guests cook all – or part – of the meal themselves. You even get to choose the menu. But don’t worry, you don’t have to do the washing up afterwards – unless you insist, of course.
Led by one of the school’s chefs, who steers the ship to ensure your meal is completely delicious, here you and your party have the fun of learning new techniques and cooking together before sitting down to eat your meal. You can opt to cook a home favourite or try a new dish with your skilled chef’s guidance, all ingredients are supplied by the cookery school.
You can cook as much or as little as they want, and the event is private and completely tailored to your needs from start to end.
With flexible seating and table arrangements as well as easy access to a balcony overlooking the River Mersey and Didsbury’s only flock of sheep, everything is perfectly laid out for you to get all of your favourite people in the kitchen together and cook up a feast.
The school also has an excellent wine list on offer alongside a fully stocked bar, so if you’re a cocktail lover you can include cocktail making as part of your experience.
Fancy going all-out? The school also offers extra twists including live entertainment and music to add that extra bit of pizazz to your evening. Also, if you’ve got friends or family visiting from out of town you can complete the evening with hotel accommodation on site, with a large pool and spa.
So if you fancy turning your next celebratory dinner on its head, why not check out Food Sorcery for a bespoke and unique experience?
