Tipples of Manchester

Tipples of Manchester have revealed they are closing down their Lloyd Street store because of a rent increase by landlords.

But they also said that the story is far from over, and they are even looking at creating a bar to sell their amazing selection of spirits.

To help fund they have created an online sale, offering an incredible array of products at low prices.

In a statement on their Facebook page, Tipples expressed heartfelt gratitude to its loyal patrons for their steadfast support over the last five years.

The establishment, known for its incredible selection of spirits, acknowledged the challenges it has faced but credited its resilience to the support of customers.

Tipples of Manchester statement

They said: “Nothing worth doing ever comes easy, and as some of you will know we have been dealt more than our fair share of bad hands, but we’ve always come out swinging.

“We’ve always come out swinging”

“We have recently been told that we are facing a rather large rent increase and it’s going to be large enough that we don’t think we can continue as we are in the current space.

“Not ones to lie down and accept our fate, we are taking this blow, flipping it into a positive, and taking this as our sign it’s time for a new venue!

“This new location will have more space for all the boozy deliciousness we are known and loved for, and on top of this there will be a bar – yes you read that right – we’re also opening a bar!”

So out of bad news – comes some great news.

What will the new bar be like?

The owners of Tipples explained the new concept.

They said: “The bar will be an expansion in what we already do at Tipples, introducing people to their new favourite drinks.

“The bar will be mostly spirits and cocktail led so you can expect a great array of spirits on the back bar including; Tequilas, Whisk(e)y, rum and gin.

“The menu will be broken down into four parts:

“Signature serves – these are cocktails we have come up with over the last five years in response to customers asking us “how do we drink it?” And will have serves like the mango mezcal negroni and the Cornstar Martini.

“Pick Your Poison – which is about playing with classic serves which can have the base sprig it changed, to allow you to try something new

“On the fly – these are small serves made well – 1890s vs 1990’s – this section celebrates the vast array of cocktails out there from the lost and forgotten classics to the modern and quirky.

“On top of this we will be running a packed events schedule showcasing brands from across the world so expect masterclasses, tasting and interactive events.”

An incredible sale

As always, moves come at a cost.

To fund the move and to express gratitude for years of support, Tipples has launched a moving sale, offering generous discounts on select items.

“This sale not only helps us make the move smoother but also allows our customers to snag some fantastic deals while supporting a local independent business,” said the statement.

To help fund their move to a new venue, they are having a moving home sale, with a vast array of spirits and much more to choose from at an awesome discount.

They have a extraordinary collection of whiskey, tequila, cognac and rums.

You name it – you can probably find it here.

So why not help out co-owner Greg’s back – and instead of him moving it – take home a few bottles to enjoy?
