Not many venues can claim to host everything from international sports events and concerts by international artists to conferences, meetings and special events

Emirates Old Trafford prides itself on its flexibility. International Test Cricket, concerts and 2,000 delegate conferences are no problem.

The venue has been uniquely designed to accommodate international sport, global artists and larger conferences, meetings and special events which puts it in a great position to continue to attract major events and visitors to Greater Manchester.

During the month of July, over 145,000 visitors pass through the Emirates Old Trafford  gates. Staff worked through the night to transform the cricket pitch to a world class music venue in a matter of days to host world stars Rihanna and Beyoncé within a week of each other with over 80,000 in attendance over both nights.

Just two weeks later, the stadium put its cricket hat back on and hosted another 50,000 spectators at the England v Pakistan Test Match with corporate guests enjoying spectacular hospitality in The Point as England continued their unbeaten record in Test Cricket for over fifteen years in Manchester.

Four days later, Emirates Old Trafford hosted another 10,000 fans as Lancashire Lightning concluded their NatWest T20 Blast campaign against Birmingham Bears.

And even with the venue in full swing with international cricket and concerts, their doors stayed open to host major conferences and events such as the Construction Summit North 2016 and other major blue chip company meetings – a real testament to the versatility, flexibility and reputation of the venue.

Emirates Old Trafford is designed for maximum accessibility for all visitors across all events with two dedicated entrances located at The Point and Pavilion. Each venue can be used as an independent space for conferences or in combination with other facilities if you’re looking for hospitality or break out space – meaning they can host many events at the same time with easy visitor flow.

“We found Emirates Old Trafford to be an impressive venue for guests to arrive at,” says Capture 1 owner Helen Nurse, who recently held a staff training day in the Club Suite. “The staff are fantastic, they go the extra mile to ensure everything is right and made sure that we had everything we needed.

“The technical facilities are fantastic – it was really important to us that the event ran without hitches and it did. Overall I would definitely recommend it as a venue for business events”.

“To have attracted two of the world’s most iconic pop stars to Emirates Old Trafford is a testament to the versatility and reputation of our venue,” says chief executive Daniel Gidney.

“A lot of work goes into preparing the venue for events like these and with the turnaround from a cricket club, to a music venue within days, special praise must go to our ground staff and operations team who make everything appear seamless for the thousands of visitors who attend events here at the venue”.

The crowning glory of Emirates Old Trafford’s redevelopment will be completed in the summer of 2017 when a brand new 150-bedroom four star Hilton Garden Inn opens its doors at the home of Lancashire County Cricket Club. There will be five floors with rooms overlooking the world famous cricket pitch which can be converted to hospitality boxes on match days.
