Having opened the city’s first dedicated venue for afternoon tea with the Tea Room, The Midland is now shaking up its offering by adding a new menu to the fold: brunch.
A stalwart on the Manchester social scene since the hotel opened in 1903, The Midland’s afternoon tea has been a mainstay on the menu for over a century.
Brunch, which costs £19 per person, will provide the same classic experience with the elegance of its Midland-branded bone china, white tablecloths and beautiful cake stands.
Available every day from 10.30am-1.30pm, brunch will offer mini portions of dishes such as waffle with crispy streaky bacon and maple syrup, baked eggs with chorizo, spinach and portabello mushrooms, pancakes with blueberry compote and brioche French toast with cinnamon.
A stalwart on the Manchester social scene since the hotel opened in 1903, The Midland’s afternoon tea has been a mainstay on the menu for over a century.
Held in the Tea Room, brunch offers the same fantastic views across St Peter’s Square while you tuck into pancakes, granola and scrambled eggs.
Drinks include a seasonal fruit smoothie shot and a selection of teas and coffees.
And for those who’d like to add a mid-morning cocktail or two, there is also an option to enjoy a bottomless brunch with a choice of Prosecco, Mimosa, Bloody Mary, Bellini, beer and lager for an additional £20 per person.
“The Tea Room is a fantastic space and incredibly popular for afternoon teas, so introducing a brunch menu made total sense,” said Jens Hallman, General Manager at The Midland.
“We’re really excited about this – it’s something totally different, there isn’t anywhere else in Manchester that offers brunch in this format on a daily basis.
“It gives you a little bit of everything you might want from a brunch, with the option to enjoy a mid-morning cocktail if the mood takes you!”
Brunch in the Tea Room will be available daily at The Midland from Monday 13th May, served from 10.30am-1.30pm, priced £19.
