From Thursday 6th November until Sunday 4th January, Spinningfields will once again play host to the city centre’s only outdoor ice rink, with The Lawns and Hardman Square transformed into a festive hub of activity this winter.

Back for its seventh successive year, the ice rink will set up home on The Lawns, giving the public the chance to enjoy skating under the stars. Open to the public seven days a week from 10.30am until 9pm at weekends and 3.10pm until 9pm Monday – Friday, the rink will also provide a viewing platform for those who would rather spectate than skate.

The ever-popular penguin skating supports will also be back to help the younger members of the family – although older siblings, parents and grandparents can all join in the fun.

Libby Witherden, Head of Marketing and Events at Capital Properties, said; “The ice rink has always been a huge attraction in the run-up to Christmas, bringing thousands of people to the estate. We’re proud to have created a real festive atmosphere with all our activity and believe Winter at Spinningfields has something for everyone.”

Tickets

Tickets start at £9 for adults, with discounts for student nights and family tickets. There is no additional fee to book online. Prior to the opening of the rink and until November 14th, there will be a limited number of early bird tickets available for £6.00 for every session throughout the season (30 per session), which can only be bought online here.
