After a spectacular £1 million renovation, Manchester’s iconic venue has reopened as The Grosvenor.

Located at the historic corner of Oxford Road and Grosvenor Street, the venue merges its heritage as the Grosvenor Picture Palace with a modern, immersive experience that brings new life to the historic venue.

The Grosvenor Picture Palace

Built between 1913 and 1915, the Grosvenor Picture Palace has had many lives—as a cinema, bingo hall, snooker venue, and, more recently, beloved student pub The Footage.

Now, over a century later, The Grosvenor invites guests into an expansive “playground for adults,” complete with pool tables, beer pong, dart boards, a massive 6×3 metre ball pit, and whimsical features like a carousel horse and photo booths.

Open daily from noon to midnight (and until 2 am on weekends), the venue promises a fun-filled atmosphere for every occasion. Its relaunch on November 2nd drew huge crowds, thanks to live music, an array of food and drinks, and a surprise visit from the Premier League trophy.

Food, Drinks, and Events for All

Whether it’s a bottomless brunch, after-work drinks, or an evening out, The Grosvenor has something for everyone.

The drinks menu showcases local craft beers, premium spirits, and cocktails, while the food options include crowd-pleasing wings, burgers, and pizzas. Sports fans can enjoy all major games on a massive 5-metre screen, while regular events such as DJ nights, interactive quizzes, and club nights keep the excitement alive throughout the week. Sundays are dedicated to “Super Sunday Sport,” with live Premier League, NFL, and F1 action paired with two-for-one pizza deals.

Preserving History with a Modern Twist

The venue’s extensive renovation preserved key architectural features, including the original mezzanine and balustrade, while incorporating new details inspired by theatre and circus design. Guests will also find previously concealed walls and timbers exposed, celebrating The Grosvenor’s rich history in a fresh, modern style.

Exclusive Membership and Events

The Grosvenor has introduced a free virtual ‘G Card’ membership, offering two-for-one pints, exclusive bottle deals, and special shot offers. Guests can also enjoy weekly promotions like two-for-one wine and Prosecco on Thursdays. For those looking to start their weekend with style, themed bottomless brunches are hosted on the mezzanine level every other Saturday, launching with a nostalgic 90s throwback event on November 9th for £35 per person.
