We’ve all seen the teapots and rainbow cakes on social media resonating from Thomas Street. Teacup sits in the heart of Manchester’s creative Northern Quarter, serving up loose leaf teas and freshly prepared meals alongside a menagerie of cakes and treats, all crafted from locally sourced organic produce.
Now, due to customer demand, Teacup has designed a new evening menu to build on the success of its popular daytime offering, alongside an exclusive evening cocktail menu to boot. Both menus are set to go live on Thursday 29th January, with extended opening hours to accommodate the promising menu additions.
Representing the existing ethos of Teacup, the new options will be equally as accessible with a selection of small plates to continue the casual dining atmosphere throughout. The new food menu ranges in price, for table favourites such as Patatas Bravas (£3), to more indulgent dishes such as Seared Tuna with orange and Ponzu sauce (£7.50), or the Asian style Duck roulade with dripping sauce (£6.50). The menu also boasts staple sharing boards with a choice of cheese, meat and vegetarian, which are all £14.
The venue has always stocked a fine selection of wine, beers and ciders – now as a fully licensed venue, the new evening cocktail menu will be a welcome arrival to both sweet-toothed punters and evening diners alike.
Teacup mixologists have developed a concise yet punchy cocktail menu, taking inspiration from their in-house loose-leaf teas and coffee beans. Guests wishing to stay out until the early hours should try the Espresso Martini, complete with Teacup’s in-house espresso blend (£6), or a nod to the local community with the NQ Iced Tea which, as expected, combines a multitude of hard spirits and Teacup’s signature Hibiscus Tea infused syrup (£7).
Head Chef at Teacup, Tom Wollam said: “I’ve been working with the kitchen team to develop the new evening menu; it’s been a real team effort and it’s something we’ve wanted to do for a long time. We’re excited for the new challenges and we’re all eager to see the response. It feels like a natural progression for us to bring what we do in the daytime through to the evening. With the small plate culture growing in popularity, it gives us the perfect opportunity to showcase our range of skills to both new and existing customers.”
Opening times
The new menu will be available exclusively in the evenings from Tuesday – Saturday from 6.00 – 9.30pm.
Sunday – Monday the venue will close at 6.00pm.
