Manchester has its fair share of Italian restaurants. Some are good, some are great and some are, quite frankly, meh. When it comes to quality, the award-winning Don Giovanni has got you covered.
Manchester’s oldest independent Italian will be taking over a secret location with a surprise pop-up event this winter.
They’ll be bringing a stripped back menu focusing on fresh seafood and Neapolitan sourdough pizza of the finest Italian flavours to one lucky city centre neighbourhood.
The menu at Gio’s is choc-full of delicious dishes you can barely pronounce but, hot damn, do they make you feel cultural. Think rich and comforting pasta dishes, pizza as cheesy and delicous as they come and succulent cuts of locally sourced meat.
The seafood arrives fresh daily. We’re talking seared scallops and the crispiest juiciest frittura mista this side of Sicily. The food is guaranteed fresh and guaranteed quality and they’ll be serving up an array of artisanal cocktails inspired by Italian classics.
The pop-up also promises to serve up a plush a selection of craft Italian beers, fine wines and award-winning organic prosecco.
It starts in October and runs until the end of December, so keep your eyes peeled for more information. Click here.
