Nuffield Fitness & Wellbeing Gym, located in The Printworks, is hosting a competition to find the Fittest Workplace in the City.

To take part, each business must enter a team of five to complete one of the following fitness tests each; a 200m swim, a 5km stationary cycle, a 1km row, a 2.5km treadmill run and a wall sit.

Prizes include free memberships, health assessments, personal training and physio sessions.

Simon Tillott, general manager at Nuffield Fitness & Wellbeing Gym, said: “This year the event has been increasingly popular, with 30 companies planning to take part. Businesses are always asking us for help with improving employee wellbeing, so this is the perfect way for employers to promote team work, boost morale and encourage a healthy lifestyle. We are looking forward to the awards evening at Tiger Tiger on 18th February to find out who takes the title of Fittest Workplace in the City.”

There is no charge to enter the Corporate Challenge. Businesses must register by 10th February 2016 by emailing Kenny Fletcher ([email protected]) with team details and a suggested time and date to complete the challenge. Teams must include both male and female participants.

Printworks centre director Fred Booth said: “This is a great way for city centre businesses to break free from their desks and show us what they’ve got in the fitness stakes.

“There are gold, silver and bronze medals up for grabs too, so if you think your workplace has got what it takes to be crowned Fittest Workplace in the City, we can’t wait to see you in action in this mini corporate Olympics!”
