Can you describe the process of having your teeth polished at Kiss Dental?

I recently went to Kiss Dental for a teeth polishing appointment, and I have to say, it was a great experience.

You can book everything after a brief phone call where helpful staff will talk you through their treatments, it really is as easy as that.

If you’re a new customer when you arrive or prior to your appointment you fill out a short medical form, which is quick and easy.

When you arrive on the day you’re greeted by friendly staff, the practice has a real boutique vibe, it’s not like a clinic at all. Everything is dead relaxed and I was seen in minutes by the hygienist who was super friendly.

The dental hygienist was highly skilled and really cared about my oral health. They started by examining my teeth, checking for any signs of plaque, tartar, inflammation, swelling, or bleeding around my gums. If they found any concerns, they would have let me know and suggested how to address them. Luckily for me, they didn’t!

How long does a full professional clean take?

I was amazed at how much of a difference just 30 minutes made.

My teeth felt so clean and fresh, and I couldn’t stop smiling.

Is the treatment painful?

The dental hygienist used gentle techniques to remove plaque and tartar from my teeth, and the prophylex spray did not cause any discomfort. Overall, it was a very comfortable and relaxing experience. All I felt was a soft cold sensation which was absolutely fine.

What is prophylex spray, and how does it work?

After the examination, the hygienist started the treatment, which included scale and polish and the use of prophylex spray. Prophylex spray was amazing!

It uses pressurised air, water, and carbonated particles to break down the stains on my teeth, leaving them with a healthy sparkle. The best part was that the treatment was pain-free and didn’t harm my tooth’s enamel.

How long will the effects of having your teeth polished last?

They were visibly whiter straight away!

Any plaque or staining, it just disappears. I was really impressed with the results.

They advised me to do some regular brushing and flossing, and the effects are set to last for about six months if you keep a good dental routine at home too.
